Our Yarns

Why Baby Alpaca fibre?

We want to provide yarns that are beautiful, sustainable and lasting. Baby Alpaca fibre does just that. It is:

    • Easy to wash
    • Does not fray or break easily
    • Retains heat well
    • Does not absorb moisture easily, allowing your finished product to be suitable for both sunny and chilly days
    • Provides a wonderful drape to your finished product and maintains its natural lustrous appearance and texture for a long time
    • Naturally hypoallergenic
    • Super soft on your skin
    • Alpacas are gentle creatures - they consume less than other livestock and have minimal impact on pasture-land.

No harmful chemicals, safe for you and our environment!

It is our top priority to ensure our yarns are sustainably sourced and ethically produced through a vertical supply chain. All our Baby Alpaca Yarns are certified Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex, which means that they do not contain any harmful dyes or substances. They are safe for you and a choice fibre for sensitive skin. Also, its production creates little disruption to our environment.

Keeping Our Yarn Production Clean

Produced in Peru, our alpaca yarns are scoured with biodegradable detergent. After treating the scouring water, the remaining dirt and animal waste are reused in the gardens of the factory or agricultural lands nearby, creating a circular production cycle.
